Infocom Corporation (Tokyo; Jun Kuroda, President and CEO) is pleased to announce the launch of "RxPert" in Indonesia, a drug information service for Southeast Asia.

Background

INFOCOM has been providing the "DICS" series, drug information systems for healthcare facilities in Japan, which has one of the top market shares in the country since 1994. We developed "RxPert" by utilizing the know-how we have cultivated at "DICS," and have formed business partnerships with health tech companies in Southeast Asia, and have been promoting "RxPert" service since 2021.

In 2023, we entered into business partnerships with two Indonesian hospital information system vendors, and a strategic partnership with a clinic management system startup Klinik Pintar Technologies Pte. Ltd. (CEO: Harya Bimo, hereinafter referred to as Klinik Pintar). We integrated "RxPert" with Klinik Pintar's system and began providing it to Klinik Pintar’s users from this April. To date, it has been utilized in over 600 facilities. As the Indonesian government is promoting the digitalization and standardization of health and medical information for all medical institutions from 2022, the digital transformation in healthcare field is expected to accelerate further in the future.

Overview

"RxPert" is a cloud service which consists of reference function of basic and contraindication information on prescribed drugs as well as check functions such as drug interactions and drug allergy alerts. The drug database of this service is regularly updated by a team of dedicated pharmacists, ensuring that doctors and pharmacists always have access to the latest information which results in helping to improve the quality of safe drug prescriptions and workflow efficiency. The software also has a function to identify the drugs covered by Indonesia's universal health insurance, and supports the unique drug codes provided by the Ministry of Health which are essential when linking electronic medical record information to the government databases.

INFOCOM will fully launch the "RxPert" business in Indonesia, integrating "RxPert" with electronic medical records used by local medical institutions under a subscription model that will allow users to use the service for a monthly fee with no initial costs. The company aims to introduce the system to more than 2,000 facilities in Indonesia by the end of this fiscal year.
